From November 24, 2024, to December 3, 2024, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, an Organ Donation Ambassador for the MOHAN Foundation, set up an organ donation information desk at the Solemn Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St. Francis Xavier in Old Goa.
The Archdiocese of Goa and Daman holds the Solemn Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St. Francis Xavier every ten years. The XVIII Exposition of the Sacred Relics of “Goycho Saib” began on November 21, 2024, and will continue until January 5, 2025. Over eight million visitors are expected to attend this exposition.
During the 10 days that Mr. Gabriel operated the information desk, he interacted with more than 200 people and distributed over 2,000 flyers answering frequently asked questions.
Additionally, 20 individuals committed to organ donation by pledging their organs upon death.
