On February 25, 2024, Gabriel Pereira, Organ Donation Ambassador from MOHAN Foundation, put up an information desk on organ donation at the Blood Donation Camp organised by the Jain Engineers’ Society, Goa Chapter, in collaboration with Caring Souls Goa, JCI Margao, and Goa Medical College Blood Bank.
The camp was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Around 58 people came forward to donate blood, but only 49 were fit to do so. Most of the people had donated previously, but a couple were first-timers.
Mr. Gabriel Pereira gave FAQs on organ donation to the people who visited the camp. Close to 60 people were handed the FAQs, and five people pledged to donate their organs. He displayed a brief animated presentation by Shweta Gupta on organ donation.
