On June 15, 2025, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, an Organ Donation Ambassador with MOHAN Foundation, set up an information desk on organ donation at a blood donation camp organised by Wisdom Superspeciality Hospital, Panjim. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Association of Surgeons of India – Goa Chapter and the North Goa District Hospital Blood Bank.
The camp ran from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and saw participation from around 38 individuals who came forward to donate blood. Wisdom Superspeciality Hospital, a Dempo Healthcare Associate, is a leading healthcare institution known for delivering advanced medical care with a focus on compassion and patient well-being.
During the camp, Gabriel engaged with donors, encouraging them to consider organ donation as a life-saving gift. He highlighted that a single organ donor can potentially save up to eight lives and distributed informative flyers featuring frequently asked questions about organ donation. Five individuals expressed their commitment by signing up for the donor card. The camp was coordinated by Mr. Chetan Amonkar, Public Relations Officer and Marketing Manager. Gabriel extended his gratitude to Dr. Vardhan Bhobe, Director of the hospital, for the opportunity to be part of the event and spread awareness on this important cause.
