

Ms. Sangeetha K, Project Executive at MOHAN Foundation organised an awareness session on eye donation on June 18, 2025. The awareness session was conducted for 35 residents of Om Shanthi Old Age Home in Thiruvannamalai.
The session aimed to educate the elderly residents and staff about the importance of eye donation, dispel common myths, the simplicity of eye donation and the legal and ethical aspects involved.
Ms. Sangeetha, provided details about corneal blindness, its causes and precautions to be taken for healthy eye donation. One of the questions raised was whether family members can refuse donation at the time of death even if the person had pledged. Around 35 senior ladies attended the session, making the event more interactive and impactful.
