On June 13, 2025, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, Organ Donation Ambassador with MOHAN Foundation, set up an information desk on organ donation during a blood donation camp organised by Vivanta - Goa, Panjim.
The camp, held for the hotel staff, saw the participation of around 20 volunteers who donated blood. It commenced at 10:00 a.m. and concluded by 1:00 p.m., with the blood bank team from Goa Medical College, Bambolim facilitating the collection.
Following their donations, Gabriel interacted with the donors, thanking them for their life-saving contributions and encouraging them to also consider pledging for organ donation. He explained that while one unit of donated blood can save up to three to four lives, organ donation has the potential to save as many as eight lives. Informational flyers with frequently asked questions about organ donation were distributed at the desk.
Mr. Rainer Rodrigues, Assistant HR Manager, who coordinated the camp, expressed interest in hosting an awareness session on organ donation for the hotel staff in collaboration with MOHAN Foundation in the near future.
