On July 24, 2025, Mr. Gabriel Pereira from MOHAN Foundation set up an organ donation information desk at a blood donation camp in Panjim, Goa. The camp was organised by the Indian Red Cross Society, Goa, and the Panaji Ambulance and Welfare Trust.
Mr. Gaurish Dhond, Honorary Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Goa, commemorates his birthday each year with this blood donation drive. This year, around 60 individuals came forward to donate blood.
Alongside blood donation, the camp offered free health services, including eye examinations, diabetes screening, dental check-ups, and blood pressure monitoring, benefiting many attendees.
Mr. Pereira distributed FAQs on organ donation, shared a presentation on his journey as an organ donation ambassador, and screened a short animated film on organ donation created by Shweta Gupta.
As a result of the initiative, four individuals pledged to support organ donation.
