On July 24, 2024, Mr. Gabriel Pereira from the MOHAN Foundation set up an organ donation information desk at a blood donation camp in Panjim, Goa. The camp was organized by the Panaji Ambulance & Welfare Trust in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Goa, and Rotary.
Mr. Gaurish Dhond, Honorary Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society in Goa, commemorates his birthday annually with this blood donation drive. Approximately 60 attendees volunteered to donate blood.
The camp offered eye, diabetes, dental, and oral examinations, along with blood pressure tests, benefiting numerous individuals.
Mr. Pereira from the MOHAN Foundation distributed FAQs on organ donation, shared a presentation on why he became an organ donation ambassador, and displayed a short animated presentation on organ donation by Shweta Gupta.
Three people came forward to pledge organ donation.
