On October 4, 2023, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, Organ Donation Ambassador, MOHAN Foundation, set up an Organ Donation Information Desk at the Blood Donation Camp organised by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Mapusa Mandal, on the birthday of the late Shri. Francis D'souza, Ex. Dy. CM of Goa, father of Shri. Joshua Peter De Souza, Dy. Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly, and MLA of Mapusa constituency.
The Guest of Honour was Shri. Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha, an Indian politician who is now serving as the Bharatiya Janata Party state president of Goa.
The blood donation camp was held at the MLA's home. A total of 100 persons attended the camp, and 22 of them donated blood.
Mr. Gabriel put up two videos on the screen: What is brain death? Also a brief animated presentation about organ donation by Shweta Gupta. He handed out about eighty FAQs and talked to individuals about organ donation and why we needed to come forward and pledge.
