On July 27, 2024, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, the Organ Donation Ambassador for the MOHAN Foundation, set up an organ donation information desk at a blood donation camp organized by St. Thomas Girls High School, Aldona, and Caring Souls in collaboration with the Goa Medical College Blood Bank. The camp took place at the school premises.
The camp was held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and was specifically conducted for the parents of the students and school staff. Approximately 32 individuals attended the camp, of whom 23 were eligible to donate, and 9 were not eligible.
Mr. Gabriel distributed about 30 FAQs and spoke to the attendees about organ donation and the importance of pledging to donate.
