On July 20, 2024, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, an organ donation ambassador from the MOHAN Foundation, set up an information desk at the blood donation camp organized by St. Thomas Boys High School, Aldona, and Caring Souls in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Goa Medical College, Goa.
The camp was held from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm, with 19 people attending. The donors included parents of the students, and some teachers also came forward to donate. During the event, Gabriel displayed a short presentation on the LED display, explaining why he took up the mission of creating awareness about organ donation. This was followed by a short animated presentation on organ donation by Shweta Gupta.
After the blood donation, Gabriel explained to the donors the importance of blood donation and its benefits. He also emphasized that through organ donation, one can save up to eight lives and heal fifty people through tissue donation.
At the event, Gabriel distributed around twenty-five frequently asked question flyers to provide more information about organ donation.
