Organ Donation Camp at Aruha Village, Jajapur District, Odisha

  • On 24th December 2017, Golden Heart Social Foundation of Aruha Village, Jajapur District, Odisha organised a blood donation and organ donation camp along with free health check-up in the memory of their friend Mr. Vikas Samal who met with a road accident and had a tragic death in the month of December 2016.

     

    MOHAN Foundation was invited by one of the members of the foundation Mr. Bhisma Rout to put a stall for Organ Donation.

     

    People from the entire village and also from other nearby villages had come to contribute to the noble cause.

     

    Many people showed their interest for organ donation. They were told about what is organ donation, how does organ donation happen and what are the organs that can be donated when living and after death.

     

    Elders who were more than 65 yrs were dedicated for the cause. Some pledged for eye donation whereas many pledged for all solid organ donation after their death.

     

    68 pledge forms were filled and equal number of donor cards were picked up.
