  • On 25th July 2017, MOHAN Foundation Mumbai was invited by the Pisawali Medical Practitioners Welfare Association (PMPWA) of doctors at its monthly meet for organising awareness talks on Organ Donation. This session was conducted in association with GIANTS Group of Kalyan Metro.

Mrs.Jaya Jairam presented about what organ donation is, why it was the need of the hour, how it could save many lives and how one can donate organs. She also spoke about her own story of organ failure and how her life was saved by organ donation and transplantation. Some of the doctors pledged to be organ donors and signed up for donor cards.

Mr.Iyer from GIANTS Group of Kalyan Metro spoke about his own personal story and how it motivated him to spread awareness on organ donation. Posters were distributed by him to the doctors present so that they could display information to their interested patients at their own clinics.

MOHAN Foundation is grateful to Dr.Swapna Jagdale, Chairman of Women’s Forum, NIMA and President of WWF NIMA (Kalyan) and Dr.Pankaj Supekar, President of Pisawali Medical Practitioners Welfare Association (Dombivli) for organising the awareness talks.
