HCL Foundation invited MOHAN Foundation to deliver an awareness talk virtually, on organ donation as part of the National Organ Donation Day celebrations. The talk organized on 30th November 2021 at 4 pm, was conducted by Mr. Ganesh, C Marketing Coordinator and Dr. Hemal Kanvinde Quality Assurance Officer of MOHAN Foundation and coordinated by Ms. Kadhija Mohamed of HCL Foundation.
About 37 staff of the HCL Foundation attended the session. Ms Kadhija introduced the concept and the speaker. This was followed by a talk by Dr. Hemal on the concepts of organ donation. She touched upon the following points:
She also spoke about the work of MOHAN Foundation. After the talk, the discussion was about how to register as an organ donor and what are the contraindications to organ donation. Mr. Ganesh played two videos - about brain death and the value of a transplantation.
Dr. Chetana T, Lead - Health Division of HCL Foundation summarized the talk and thanked the speakers as well as MOHAN Foundation for campaigning for such a noble and sensitive cause. She requested the audience to spread the organ donation message to others. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to Ms. Kadhija for this opportunity.
