  On 17^th April 2021, Mr. Amol Hadke, the Secretary of Maratha Sewa Sangh in Trimruti Nagar of Nagpur invited MOHAN Foundation to give information about organ donation and transplantation to its members. Transplant Coordinator Mr. Bulu Behera was introduced by Mr. Hadke, who also gave a brief introduction of the Foundation.

  Mr. Bulu Behera gave information about the following to the Sangh members present.

  • What is organ donation?
  • Whom to contact for organ donation?
  • What is the THO Act 1994?
  • What is natural death and brain death?
  • What is the eye donation process?
  • What is the body donation process?
  • Causes of brain death
  • Role of ZTCC in organ donation and transplantation
  • MOHAN Foundation’s activities and using its website and help line number

  Question asked by participants:

  • How will MOHAN Foundation know of my death?
  • What is the age limit for organ donation?
  • What is natural death?

  Around 20 members of the Sangh were present; 10 of them signed consent forms and collected donor cards. At the end of the session, Mr. Amol Hadke gave vote of thanks to MOHAN Foundation as well as the participants.
