Organ Donation Awareness at Super Specialty Hospital, Nagpur

  • On 23rd March   2018, Super Specialty Hospital, Nagpur, invited to  MOHAN Foundation to speak about organ donation to the outpatients. Dr. Madhukar Parchand special duty incharge of Super Specialty Hospital arranged a stall where MOHAN Foundation displayed information brochures, donor card standees and a banner. Mr. Bulu Behera Transplant coordinator managed the stall.

    Information given to outpatients:

    v  Need for Donation

    v  Which organs can be donated

    v  Explanation of brain death

    v  How and where is waitlist for organ failure patient

    v  Importance of carrying a donor card

    v  MOHAN Foundation activities.

    v  Helpline number & MOHAN Foundation website.

    40 patients & relatives visited the stall. After understanding about organ donation, 15 patients & relatives took consent form & 4 patients signed consent form & picked their donor cards, other will sign consent form after discussing with their family.
