

On 26th March 2019, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session for the students of Laishram Mani Memorial English Academy at Kongba, Imphal. Around 42 students and a teacher were present at the session.
Ms. Roma Devi began with an introduction on the concepts of organ donation. She went on to explain the necessity and importance of organ donation, types of donors and the difference between brain death and cardiac or circulatory death. Tissues and organs that could be donated in case of brain death and cardiac death and the importance of carrying donor cards were also discussed. The session lasted for 1.5 hours.
The programme ended with a long Q&A session with participants asking questions about organ donation and the donor registration process. It was an informative and interactive session.
