On 26th March 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited to give a talk at Women’s Voluntary Services at Chetpet, as a part of their International Women’s Day celebrations. Ms. Gieetha, Transplant coordinator represented MOHAN Foundation.
She explained the basic concepts of Organ Donation and elaborated about eye donation and differences between organ and tissue donation. She also stressed on the importance of family as decision makers for an organ donation to take place. The participants were encouraged to ask doubts.
20 women from the crèches run by the women’s association participated in the event and 13 of them picked the donor card to support the cause.
