Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity is celebrating its 25th year this rotary year 2014-2015. In line with the celebrations, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity launched a unique service program called “Uyirin Nanban - Friend of Life - Jeevan Mithra” on Oct 10, 2014 in GRD Auditorium in PSG College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore. The program was launched by Mr Krishnakumar Varier, Managing Trustee – The Ayurvedic Trust. The event was felicitated by Rtn. Basheer Ahamed, Asst. Governor RI Dist 3201 & Mr. Nandagopalan, Secretary of PSG College of Arts & Science. The launch was well attended by Rotarians, Anns, Rotaractors, Rapid Action Force personnnel, College & School Students (more than 1000 participants).

After inauguration of the program, eminent speakers with great amount of knowledge on the above topics addressed the gathering. Dr. Koti Reddy – Director of MOHAN Foundation, Hyderabad spoke on the importance of Organ Donation & Blood Donation and clarified doubts related to organ donation and how people will be benefitted out of Organ Donation.
