On February 24, 2025, Mr. Bulu J. Behera, Transplant Coordinator from the MOHAN Foundation, conducted an informative Organ Donation Awareness Stall at Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Digdoh, Hingna, Nagpur. The stall was set up at the Eye OPD at the invitation of Dr. Mayank Gadkari Raut, Administrative In-charge of the hospital. The initiative aimed to provide visitors with crucial information about organ donation and its life-saving potential.
Over 35 visitors attended the stall, where they received detailed insights into various aspects of organ donation, including the legal processes involved, the difference between brain death and natural death, and the types of organs that can be donated. Mr. Behera also addressed specific queries about liver transplant costs and the required documents for cadaveric organ transplants, helping to clarify common doubts. The stall was a success, with 4 visitors signing the pledge form to commit to organ donation.
