Organ Donation Awareness Session at Swastha Nari Shakti Parivar Camp, HWC Vaishali Nagar, Nagpur

    On September 27, 2025, an organ donation awareness session was conducted at the
    Swastha Nari Shakti Parivar Camp, HWC Vaishali Nagar, Nagpur, for the patients attending
    the camp. The session was organized at the invitation of Mr Vijay Malghate and Dr. Palash,
    and was conducted by Ms. Veena Wathore, with assistance from Ms. Bhagyashree, who
    helped participants take the organ donation pledge.
    During the session, participants actively engaged and learned about various aspects of organ
    donation. The following key points were explained:
    1. Concept of organ and tissue donation
    2. Definition of brain death
    3. Types of death – brain death and cardiac death
    4. Organs and tissues that can be donated after brain death and circulatory death
    5. How one donor can save the lives of up to eight people
    A total of 30 participants attended the session 2 participants took the pledge for organ
    donation, and raised relevant questions, such as:
     What is the age limit for organ donation?
     How are organs allocated?
     Does organ transplantation cost money, and who bears the expense?
