On April 03, 2012 MOHAN Foundation, Bangalore organized an organ donation awareness programme at MARC Business School. The programme was designed to provide students information on the need and processes involved in organ donation.
Prof. U.K. Sharma, Chairman of the institution and award winner from the governor for his efforts to promote blood donation initiatives, inaugurated the event. Mr. V.Krishnan, volunteer MOHAN Foundation, shared his experience as an organ recipient. He has completed fifteen years after a kidney transplant. Mr. Bino James, Project Manager, MOHAN Foundation, spoke to the students about brain death, organ donation, and the Transplantation of Human Organs Act.
The interactive sessions helped the students to clarify their doubts and to understand in detail about the concepts of organ donation.
