On 3rd Sept 2020, Mrs. Jaya Jairam was invited by the Rotary Club of Bombay Harbour's member, Mr. Kalpesh Palan to conduct an online awareness session for sensitizing the members of the Rotary Group.
After introducing MOHAN Foundation and its activities, Mrs. Jaya Jairam shared information about the concepts and process of organ donation, organs and tissues that can be donated and the need for spreading awareness about organ donation. She then went on to discuss some of the common myths that deter the public from committing to the cause of organ donation.
Mrs. Jaya Jairam then requested Mr. Kalpesh Palan, also a life member of MOHAN Foundation, to share his story of how he and his family took the noble decision of donating his father's organs, when he unfortunately became brain dead, a couple of years earlier.
Around 25 members participated in the session. MOHAN Foundation thanks Mr. Kalpesh Palan as well as the Rotary Club of Bombay Harbour for supporting the cause of organ donation.
