On 28th Aug 2020, Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania IB School invited Ms Jaya Jairam, MOHAN Foundation Mumbai to sensitize its year 1 students and faculty on the concepts of organ donation.
Mrs Jaya Jairam began by introducing MOHAN Foundation and its activities. She went on to share more information on the concepts of organ donation, types of death, need for organ donation and the process. She then discussed the myths and barriers in the minds of the public, which deter them from going ahead with organ donation.
Around 55 students and faculty attended the session. The students were encouraged to initiate talks on the topic of organ donation, with their parents. MOHAN Foundation is grateful to the IBDP Coordinator and Project Coordinator for their initiative to facilitate the awareness session.
