Online Course on Transplant Coordination Professional Certificate (April-May 2025)

  • The 'Transplant Coordination Professional Certificate', a six-week online course hosted by the MOHAN Foundation from April 4-May 20, 2025 was completed with success. A total of 57 candidates from India had signed up for the online course.

    The important elements of the course consisted of the following:

    • Access to the e-learning platform with study materials and resources
    • Online assignments and assessments to reinforce learning
    • Weekly interactive webinars led by professionals in organ donation and transplantation

    The webinars covered the essential topics pertaining to:

    • Organ Donation and Transplantation: Key Concepts
    • Transplantation of Human Organs Act and Rules: A Legal Perspective
    • Brainstem Death - Concept, Definition, Causes, Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria, Tests involved in Confirming brainstem death and Certification
    • Deceased Donor Transplant Programs-Role of Transplant Coordinator
    • The Ethics: In Organ Donation and Transplantation
    • Transplant Coordinators: Role in Living Donor Programs
    • Approaching Donor Families: The Role of Counselling

    The faculty for the courses were:

    Candidates were issued a course completion certificate on successful completion of the online examination that was held on May 20, 2025.

    Thank you MOHAN Foundation for this online course. Being new in this field of transplantation there were area of doubts and questions. Now after joining the course I have learned a lot. Video lectures were one of my favourites. The PPT and text were easy to understand. In addition, the webinar gave insight to my knowledge. Overall, the course was a complete package.
