



Nurses at Rajiv Gandhi Government General hospital (RGGGH), Chennai were sensitized from March 20th 2013 to April 26th 2013. Transplant Coordinator, Ms Kavita was deputed from MOHAN Foundation to carry out the sensitization. Nurses from Trauma Ward, ICU and PACU who are directly involved in maintaining brain dead patients were sensitized about Deceased Organ Donation programme. During the awareness, grief counseling was also focused upon. This was followed by an awareness given to the Tower I Block nurses. The information was shared through one to one interaction and few group sessions were held.
During the interaction the following topics were discussed:
All together104 nurses of Rajiv Gandhi Government General hospital were sensitized and all promised to support the noble cause by signing up the donor card.
