
To commemorate Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s birthday, MG College invited MOHAN Foundation to address their students. The event was organized on 15th October 2015 at Conference Hall in their college premises. This programme was referred by Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS).
Ms. Kavitha, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation represented on behalf of MOHAN Foundation and Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS).The programme started with lighting lamp, following that Ms. Kavitha delivered a talk. The following things were discussed
The following topics were covered during the talk:
• Types of Organ Donation - Live and Deceased Donation
• Difference between Brain death and Coma
• Importance of the consent from the family
• Importance of Donor card
• Tissues and organs that can be donated
• Importance of family consent
At the end of the programme many queries were raised, all the queries were answered. More than 50 people picked donor card and supported the cause.
