Ms Pallavi Kumar, Executive Director NCR, MOHAN Foundation was invited as an international Speaker at the 2nd International Transplant Conference Nepal 2022 held on November 12-13, 2022, in Everest Hotel, Kathmandu, Nepal. The conference was jointly organized by NESOT (Nepalese Society of Organ Transplantation) and Shahid Dharmabhakta National Transplant Centre.The theme of the conference was “Deceased Donor Transplantation for Developing World.” The invite was extended by Dr Pukar Chandra Shrestha, Organizing Chairperson.
On November 12, Ms Pallavi Kumar made a presentation on “Starting a Deceased Donation Program in a Hospital” and on November 13, she made a presentation on, “Breaking Bad News and Making the Ask for Organ Donation.” The film on wrong and right approach to family counseling was also played for the participants.
Close to 150 participants attended the conference, consisting of doctors, nurses and transplant coordinators.
