For over a decade, The Times of India has been organising ‘Times Organ Donation Drive’, powered by Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai.
This year, on August 22, 2023, TOI chose to felicitate and appreciate recipients and donors with exemplary achievements in fitness, outdoor activities and social impact.
Ms. Jaya Jairam, Project Director of MOHAN Foundation was one of the awardees who was appreciated for her outstanding achievements in not letting the adversities and challenges get in her way. She was appreciated for raising awareness about organ donation, through marathons, as well as for her work in promoting deceased organ donation.
The award was given to her at the hands of the versatile actor, Director and producer of Films, Padma Shri Anupam Kher who was the Chief Guest. He was so inspired after meeting the awardees, that he even expressed his willingness to become the ambassador for Organ donation.
