On 5th August 2016, REAL Trust Chennai requested Govt. Stanley Hospital to sensitize the Self Help Groups and Public on Organ Donation. The programme began with a welcome address by Mrs. Kala Field Coordinator, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board and she welcomed all the participants. Dr. Karthik and Dr. Gowrishanker, Anesthetist from Govt. Stanley Hospital delivered a special guest talk in the program.
Dr. Kamalakannan spoke about the importance of organ donation and Mr. Prakash K. explained about the family consent and grief counseling. There were two programs held at VOC Nagar in different venues.

During the session few activities were conducted by the participants. In the first session totally 50 members and in the second event 30 members participated. At end of the event all were given information brochures. Only few of them picked donor cards.
