On 6th November 2022, LION’s CLUB of Virar invited MOHAN Foundation to set up an information desk on organ donation during a campaign on awareness about legal aspects at Vasai, Mumbai.
Ms. Rashmi Shetty visited the place and organized a stall with MOHAN Foundation’s standee, flyers, placards, pledge forms and donor cards. Close to 100 people visited the stall. Lawyers, Police personnel and general public of Vasai and Virar attended this programme. Ms. Rashmi addressed the visitors and gave them information about the need of organ donation, who can donate, when can we donate, process of organ donation, brain death and circulatory was explained in detailed, certain myths and facts surrounded by the topic was shared.
She appealed and motivated the public to pledge their organs and save many lives. 12 people pledged their organs by signing the pledge forms. A few of them told that they want some more time to think about it and collected MOHAN Foundation’s flyers from Ms. Rashmi.
