

On 31rd July 2018, Super Specialty Hospital, Nagpur invited MOHAN Foundation to speak about organ donation to the outpatients. Dr. Madhukar Parchand Special duty in-charge arranged for a desk. MOHAN Foundation displayed standees, banner, information brochures, registration form and donor cards at the desk. Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator from MOHAN Foundation managed the desk and spoke to the outpatients.
Information given to outpatients was:

v Difference between circulatory death and brain death
v How to register as an organ failure patient in the waitlist
v How to register as an organ donor on MOHAN Foundation website
v Importance of a donor card
v Activities of the Nagpur Centre of MOHAN Foundation
v Information sources - Helpline number & MOHAN Foundation website.
42 patients & relatives visited the stall. After understanding about organ donation, 15 of them took consent form. 4 patients signed consent form & took the donor cards, other will sign consent form after discussing with their family.
