MOHAN Foundation participates in the annual Aram Seiya Verumpu at Coimbatore

  • Rotary Club Central organized an “Aram Seiya Verumpu” on 4th and 5th October 2014 for the people of Coimbatore. MOHAN Foundation was invited to place an information stall on Organ Donation. Transplant Coordinator Mr.  R. Ananth was deputed to man the stall.  The stall was decorated with a large banner, posters, brochures and donor cards.

    Mr. Ananth explained the following topics to visitors to the stall: 

    • Types of Donors
    • Difference between Natural Death and Brain Death
    • Difference between Brain Death and Coma
    • Organs that Can be donated
    • Time of preservation of Organs
    • Importance of Donor Card

     

    All the visitors were excited to visit the stall and showed their support for Organ Donation by picking up donor card. Nearly 258 pledged with donor card and promised to spread information to their family members and friends.  Around one thousand people visited the “Aram Seiya Verumpu” to learn about different nongovernment organisations and their work.
