MOHAN Foundation was invited by Shri. Arun Kumar to organize an organ donation awareness stall at Lions Club Vijayawada on March 28 & 29, 2015 as a part of annual elections of Lions Club.
There were more than 700 members that have actively participated in the elections from different regions of Andhra Pradesh and all the members were distributed donor cards and family donor cards, information brochures, organ donation helpline stickers, ITN newsletters and activity reports of MOHAN Foundation.
Ms. Shanti of MOHAN Foundation spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, benefits of transplantation, T.H.O 1994 Act, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.
We thank Shri. Arun Kumar for helping us in organizing this event to promote organ donation and also thank all the members of Lions Club for their active participation.
