MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mrs. Vijaya, faculty member, to conduct organ donation awareness by installing a stall at Global Edge International School on July 01, 2015.
Dr. Koti Reddy spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.
The first person to pledge to donate and collect the donor card was the Principal of the school along with her spouse. There were more than 150 participants that were distributed donor cards and information brochures.
We thank Mrs. Vijaya for her kind support in organizing this awareness session and also thank all the participants for their support to this noble cause.
