MOHAN Foundation was invited by Shri. Mahender Reddy of Vikasa Taragani, an active cultural group formed with the blessings of Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Sriman Narayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji that promotes healthy living with a spiritual touch, to participate in the 3K Rally starting at Hanumakonda Public Gardens to Kakatiya Degree College on December 31, 2014 (Wednesday).
MOHAN Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude to Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Sriman Narayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji for walking all along with the participants offering his generous blessings to the people of Hanumakonda and promoting organ donation among the public for saving precious lives. We also thank him for organizing events to promote organ donation among the public across the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh through Vikasa Tarangini.
There were more than 6000 participants that have actively participated in the rally which included college students, school students, NCC Cadets and volunteers of Vikasa Tarangini. All the participants were distributed donor cards, information brochures and activity reports of MOHAN Foundation.
In fact, there were more than 6000 participants that followed Swamiji's footsteps along the rally. The whole of Hanumakonda was jam packed with people all over the 3 (three) kilometers. There were a lot of people on the rooftops of buildings for the blessings of his kindness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Sriman Narayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Truly, this might be the biggest event that a small town like Hanumakonda will ever witness.
Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Sriman Narayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji spoke on the religious myths surrounding organ donation and has told that donating organs after death to save lives will be a “Punya Karyam” and all the people irrespective of their religion, caste or creed should come forward and support organ donation.
Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation and other renowned members of the medical fraternity spoke about importance of deceased organ donation, benefits of transplantation, T.H.O 1994 Act, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation, religion and organ donation.
We thank Shri. Mahender Reddy and members of Vikasa Tarangini for organizing such an event and Police of Warangal for granting us permission for the rally to promote organ donation. We also thank all the participants that have actively participated in this event to promote the noble cause of organ donation.
