On, 28th April 2015 an awareness session was conducted for the students of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-38 west, Chandigarh .Around 50 students participated and they were from different sections of 12th standard .The NSS in charge Mr Rakesh with the help of the principal helped a lot in organizing the session.
The students were given a presentation on the phenomenon of Brain Death and the process of organ donation through a presentation and videos by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. The myths and misconception associated with organ donation were also discussed and got cleared. The donor cards were shown to them. It was an interactive session and students participated actively. Information brochures were also given to those who asked for it.
Mr Rakesh the NSS in charge showed interest in having more such session with MOHAN in future.
