MOHAN Foundation Puducherry conducted an awareness program on 03-08-16 for the students of Pondicherry Engineering College. The session was attended by the 60 NSS faculty and second year and third year students of NSS group.
The session began with the welcome address by NSS coordinator Prof. Shiva Kumar followed by a presentation on the concepts of organ donation. Mr. Ruban Victor from MOHAN Foundation addressed the gathering and spoke on the concepts of the organ donation. The presentation covered what is organ donation, why organ failure is happening, how a deceased person can give new lease of life. The presentation also emphasized on donor card and its importance for starting a discussion with the family members.
The presentation was completed with the video on donor memorial; all students who participated in the program pledged by picking a donor card. We would like to thank Prof. Shiva Kumar and his team for providing an opportunity.
