GNM students from Kamineni School of Nursing approached us and were excited to support MOHAN Foundation inspired by the activities of the foundation.
There were 40 students that came to our office on 27 April, 2015. All the students were clearly explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation. They were also shown films on the concept of brain death, THO Act, Religion & Myths on organ donation.
All the students were distributed donor cards, family donor cards and information brochures. They were also explained about the importance of CPR and about our unique program “Swami Narayan Life Savers Program”.
All the students participated in this unique program at our office for the whole day and were also explained about our “Peer Educator’s Program”, where they can spread awareness among the youth and present it at several colleges. The students positively reacted to the idea and have promised to become our volunteers.
We thank the Principal and the management of Kamineni School of Nursing for permitting and facilitating the students to attend this sensitization session. The management has requested and promised to send in another batch of 40 students tomorrow for a similar kind of program on organ donation.
