  • MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Raja, HR Manager of ITC Kakatiya Hotel to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for their employees on August 19, 2015.

ITC Kakatiya Hotel is named after with the inspiration of one of the greatest Telugu kingdoms in the history of Telangana, the grand Kakatiya dynasty. While its key inspiration is driven by the irrepressibly enterprising Kakatiyas, the hotel also draws from the robust legacy of Hyderabad’s own antecedents, to present a delightful confluence of the finest aspects of this region’s rich history and culture in an ambience that is truly regal.

Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation gave an exclusive presentation about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, benefits of transplantation, THO 1994 Act, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.

There were about 60 employees that were present during the session and were explained on advantages of deceased organ donation, requirement and availability of organs for ill patients and legal aspects involved in organ donation.

We thank the Mr. Raja, HR Manager of ITC Kakatiya Hotel for facilitating this session on organ donation and also thank all the participants for their active participation.
