MOHAN Foundation conducts Awareness Session on Organ Donation at St. John’s High School, Sector-26, Chandigarh

  On 14^th December 2018, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Shruti, NSS Program Officer, St. John’s High School, Sector-26, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school.

   

  Approximately 25 students from class 12^th and 3 teachers attended the session. Mr.Dewan started the lecture giving information about Organ Donation. Participants were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and brain death by Neha Sharma.

   

  Explained the following points:-

  • Necessity and importance of organ donation
  • Types of Donors
  • In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
  • In case of Brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
  • Myths on organ donation
  • Importance of Donor card

   

  It was indeed an amazing session. All the students were highly motivated and they love to share their wish with their families.
