MOHAN Foundation conducts Awareness Session on Organ Donation at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School, Sector-35 B, Chandigarh

  On 20^th December 2018, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Gurpreet, NSS Program Officer, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School, Sector-35 B, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school. Approximately 120 students from class 12^th and 4 teachers attended the session.

   

  Participants were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and brain death by Neha Sharma.

   

  Explained the following points:-

  • Necessity and importance of organ donation
  • Types of Donors
  • In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
  • In case of Brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
  • Myths on organ donation
  • Importance of Donor card

   

  It was indeed an amazing session all the students were highly motivated and they love to share their wish with their families. 60 donor cards and brochures were picked by the Students after the presentation.
