MOHAN Foundation was invited by Sri. J.C. Venkata Rathnam to conduct an awareness session to create awareness on organ donation among the participants during the launch of 109 Emergency Card on 19th May, 2015 at Vijayawada.
Ms. Shanti of MOHAN Foundation explained to the participants about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.
There were about 50 participants that have pledged to donate organs and were all of them were distributed donor cards, family donor cards and information brochures of MOHAN foundation along with the emergency cards.
We thank Sri. J.C. Venkata Rathnam for helping us in organizing this event to promote organ donation and also thank all the participants for their active participation.
