


MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness session at D.A.V. P.G. College, Chandigarh. There were around 150 students and 20 Faculty members who participated actively in the Awareness Program, as a part of Organ Donation Week marking. The talk was organized by the Youth Club incharge Ms. Ramneek Kaur .The session lasted for one hour as the students were really curious to know the details of organ donation and asked so many related questions.
Mr. Sudhir Dewan started the talk giving them various aspects of Organ Donation with self and other examples. The Students were given a presentation on organ Donation by Nilakshi, in which all the aspects were covered like what is Organ Donation, who all can donate organs, brain death and the laws pertaining to organ donation by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi .Some of the students shared their own experience regarding organ donation. It was indeed an interactive session .Students was given donor cards and information brochers .Around 75 donor cards were taken. One student shared her experience where her mother had donated one Kidney to her elder sister.
Students promised that they will be an ambassador for organ donation in their respective area.
