

MOHAN Foundation started conducting awareness talks among the auto drivers community in Chennai from October 11th 2018. Mr Amal Antony Augustian, Intern from MMM College of Health Sciences was assigned this task. He reached out to the auto drivers in the Mogappair locality and explained the concepts of organ donation. Information brochures, green ribbons and donor cards were distributed among them.
Stickers that contain the helpline number of MOHAN Foundation were also distributed to them. 12 drivers who registered as donors were given donor cards and 3 of them agreed to support the cause by pasting the stickers on the back of their auto rickshaws.
All the drivers were gifted a ‘Proud to be an Organ Donor’ badge for supporting this social cause. MOHAN Foundation thanks the auto drivers for participating in this initiative.
