MOHAN Foundation Invited to conduct Awareness Talk on Organ Donation for Tharanga BGS ITI College, Malur

  • Mr. Suryaprakash Coordinated with the Mr. Manjunath (Principal) to conduct the awareness program for the ITI students on 14th March 2024 at Tharanga BGS ITI College, Malur. Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS was the key speaker

    Mrs. Ranjini began the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission and vision and proceeded to explain the following:

    • The concept of organ and tissue donation
    • The types of death i.e., circulatory death and brain death
    • Brain death declaration, apnoea test and other clinical tests
    • Procedure of deceased and live organ donation
    • Procedures of eye, skin and bone donation
    • Barriers to organ donation
    • Myths and facts related to organ donation
    • Green corridor
    • The role of Jeevasarthakathe
    • Transplant Law
    • Importance of a donor card 

    Around 200 students attended the session and all the students collected the donor cards by taking the pledge for organ donation.

    Mrs. Ranjini was accompanied by Mr. Surya Prakash the Program Coordinator.

    MOHAN Foundation conveys its gratitude to the Principal Mr. Manjunath of Tharanga BGS ITI College, Malur for choosing to support this life-saving cause.
