MOHAN Foundation Delhi-NCR participates in the ‘Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2014’, New Delhi

  • On November 23, 2014, MOHAN Foundations team participated in the 7th Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2014 running event held at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, New Delhi.

     

    This is the organization’s third consecutive association starting from 2012 to this year as one of the 95 NGOs that participated in the annually held running event. The team of MOHAN Foundation ran in the ‘Great Delhi Run’ category of the marathon which is a 6 km long stretch starting from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, along Delhi’s Lodhi Road and back to the stadium.

     

     The MOHAN Foundation team had the custom made T-shirts where on the logo and a quote promoting organ donation was emblazoned and ran the entire stretch along with 25,000 strong participants representing myriad organizations and corporate contingents. The event proved to be an ideal platform to showcase and spread awareness on the respective causes with fellow participants and by-standers who were cheering on the runners.

     

    The Airtel Delhi half marathon is the largest annual sporting event in Delhi that has been held every year since its inception in 2008. The event is sponsored by the Airtel conglomerate and is promoted by Procam International with philanthropic partner India Cares overseeing operations that include host of initiatives this year. The ADHM 2014 had- a total of 32,000 runners participating in the various categories starting from the elite professional race to the goodwill senior citizen’s run.
