On 18th October 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Eshwar of Rotaract Secunderabad Club to conduct organ donation awareness session for a group of volunteers that want to spread awareness on organ donation. This session was organized exclusively to the volunteers of Rotaract Club.
Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation and the role played by younger generation in taking organ donation forward.
There were about 40 volunteers that attended the program and all of them were distributed donor cards and information brochures. The volunteers reacted positively to the idea and have promised to spread awareness about organ donation in community and especially promote our mobile application among their friends and colleagues.
We thank Mr. Eshwar for taking this initiative of organizing this awareness session and also thank all the volunteers for their support in making this a grand success.
