MOHAN Foundation Conducts an Awareness Session on Organ Donation at MLR Group of Institutions

  • MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Pruthvi, Founder of Raising Hands for Hope to conduct an awareness session on organ donation during fifth anniversary of their NGO and to spread awareness on organ donation among their peer group at Marri Laxman Reddy Group of Institutions on August 12, 2015. The chief guests included Mr. Vijay Kumar, MD of Vision VVK Group of Companies, Dr. K. S. Murali Krishna, Principal of Pharmacy College, Dr. Venkateswara Reddy, Principal of Engineering College, Dr. Kotaiah, Director of Marri Laxman Reddy Group of Institutions.

     

    There were about 1000 students that participated in the event organized. Dr. Koti Reddy explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation. All the students and staff were given information brochures and donor cards on organ donation.

     

    We thank Mr. Pruthvi and all the other members of Raising Hands for Hope and management of Marri Laxman Reddy Group of Institutions for their kind support in organizing the event for a noble cause.
