


On November 3, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, in association with the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat, Imphal East, Manipur, conducted an awareness talk on organ donation at the Outpatient Department (OPD) of JNIMS as part of its ongoing public education initiatives.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Bidyananda Laishram, Program Executive (Senior), Mr. Victor Rajkumar, Program Executive, and Ms. Priya Moirangthem, Program Executive, from MOHAN Foundation, Imphal.
Mr. Bidyananda introduced the fundamental concepts of organ donation and addressed key questions such as what organ donation is, which organs can be donated, and the difference between living and deceased donation. He elaborated on the concept of deceased organ donation, highlighting how organs from brain-dead individuals can save multiple lives and significantly improve recipients’ quality of life.
In conclusion, participants were encouraged to consider registering as organ donors and were provided with informational pamphlets for further reading. Close to 50 individuals attended the session and gained valuable insights into the life-transforming impact of organ donation.
