MOHAN Foundation Conducts Organ Donation Awareness Session at Cloudnine Hospital, Vikaspuri, Delhi.

  • MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness session on June 26, 2026, at Cloudnine Hospital, Vikaspuri, Delhi. The session was facilitated by Ms. Simran Anand, Programme Officer, MOHAN Foundation, NCR, and was attended by Ms. Reema Arya, Programme Officer, MOHAN Foundation, NCR.

     

    The session aimed to enhance awareness about organ and tissue donation among healthcare professionals and encourage them to actively support and promote the cause of organ donation. Ms. Anand highlighted the significance of organ donation, explained the concept of brain death, distinguished between living and deceased donation, and outlined the organ donation and transplantation process in India.

     

    The session also addressed common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation. Participants actively engaged in the discussion by raising questions on donor eligibility, transplantation procedures, and the role of healthcare professionals in facilitating and advocating for organ donation. Their queries were addressed with factual, evidence-based information, making the session both interactive and informative.

     

    The session concluded with an appeal to the participants to spread awareness about organ donation within their professional and personal circles and to encourage informed A total of 50 participants attended the session, which concluded successfully with positive feedback and strengthened awareness of organ donation and transplantation among the hospital staff.
